Stacker News seems like a prime candidate for an onion link.
Specifically, it could be very nice because you could replace the increasingly tedious human checks on other tor sites used to prevent DDOSing, with some version of Saylor's idea of a sat security deposit.
The DDOS prevention via Sats Invoice looks a really good business opportunity for onion sites.
Are Tor sites more vulnerable to DDOS?

I have Tor installed on my servers already for outbound connections to Tor services. It shouldn't be much work to do this. We've had an issue open for ages https://github.com/stackernews/stacker.news/issues/7

On Brave browser, sometimes when i visit a site, it shows a tor icon on the right side of the search bar. if you click it, it opens the onion url in a new tor tab.
i have not seen any documentation on how to get that functionality on your site though.

In future it may be a good idea to create a standalone instance that's Tor only...
Also btw, the really privacy conscious users have JavaScript disabled - many darknet apps run fully without JS. That'd be an interesting challenge for SN.

Do you know if WebAssembly is considered better from a privacy perspective than JS?
