Oh yeah. The first Frazier fight you couldn't watch live. There was round by round radio coverage. A week later the fight was broadcast in the US on ABC's Wide World Of Sports. I have to admit I was a Joe Frazier fan. It pissed me off when Hunter S Thompson described Frazier as a "human hamburger."
Ali was one of the first of what I would call "hot dogs" in sports. He was brash and braggy, and very funny. He used to talk about how ugly Frazier was.

Thanks for this little history of boxing. I hope you won't mind me not picking your beautiful Frazier in my list.

No. He probably doesn't belong. I think Tyson does, though. I like to imagine a fantasy fight between Ali and Tyson in his prime.

Tyson played only against slow feets and hands, he was the best among the worst imo.
Why do you think Tyson should be in the list?

What? Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes?

What about Jack Johnson? He’s really the forgotten Ali before Ali broke the barriers he did!

That's right. It gets harder to compare really old fighters to modern fighters. Marciano would have been tiny in the 60s and 70s.
