Why is this weird? Any military guy would understand this. It's promoting the Blue Barrett VDV. The first paratroopers in the 20th century were Russian / Soviets. These guys are very good close quarter fighters as well.
When I served and went to school at Fort Still, OK. Our basic graduation video had a David Bowie song in 1995. Probably not licensed but it was meant only for the graduating soldiers. It showed us shooting, moving and communicating.
Music and propaganda go hand in hand. Military training is a great thing! I still practice to this day the things I learned and I've met soldiers in Russia and from other countries and the training is always one of the favorite topics and prides of those who went a lot further than what they would have done in their own.
If you are a young person and haven't had this experience you are missing a great part of life. Unfortunately I'm 2020 big pharma captured our military and put our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines through a lot of bullshit. I have friends who fought this and friends who didn't. Ultimately our military was compromised and that's why most military enlisted and officers voted for Trump.
Military contractors made plenty of money collaborating so they go either way.
As a tangent....
Our local shipyard mandated the mRNA "vaccine" because of the DOD and many office workers, quit or took the jab and regretted it. The skilled labor basically told them, "no". The labor employees said that they could work somewhere else and it was not a problem for them to do so. The shipyard told the DOD that they could not fulfill their contracts and the mandate was reversed!
Anyway, thanks for pointing out that it was weird. A lot of very tough men and women are weird. It's a luxury they've earned.

I meant the music and the videoclip. Haven't seen something like this before and couldn't tell if it was a real propaganda vid or a parody.
Maybe that's cause you rightly pointed out that I don't have any military training. Also I don't speak Russian.

I would definitely say it's cheesey but I still like it. The singer is Alexander Buinov (Александр Николаевич Буйнов) who is very popular in Russia and the former Soviet Union.
This is from Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Buinov
I personally have friends and family throughout the former Soviet Union including Ukraine and Russia.
Thanks for clarifying your position.
