I know I am screaming into the ether of the world... but people come on already? Please just read this if you want to understand why BITCOIN is going to win and why your business is getting harder and harder while mine is getting easier and easier...not only is mine getting easier but my business is having a positive impact on my customers that is literally changing their lives for the better.
I own and manage 7 apartment units... 1 of my residents has been paying me in Bitcoin for the last 13 months... during that time and solely as a result of them paying me in Bitcoin (this is where it gets interesting...note the change in pronouns at this point) WE then agree to share in any future appreciation of that Bitcoin at a 50/50 split for up to 6 months.... By doing this one little thing we have entered into an agreement that costs nothing and provides US with an ability to share value with each other in a more mutually beneficial manner that provides us both with the drive to work together.
I no longer have to try and suck every last penny from them through raising my rent or charging for everything....and they have an incentive to keep their unit in good shape so I don't have the incentive to raise rent due to excessive damage.
This resident has recognized over $1400.00 in rent savings over the last 13 months and yes that means the Bitcoin I still hold has increased in (FIAT) value terms by now over $2800.00 - so I haven't "lost" anything....
Now you might say - but Jason, if you just took their FIAT USD rent and bought Bitcoin with it yourself you would be $2800.00 ahead...and you would absolutely be 100% correct. If I was selfish, greedy, out for myself - that would abosultely be what I would be doing....(Which a whole lot of you are doing)...this is the beautiful thing about Bitcoin and why BITCOIN has already won....
I win because I don't have to be trying to extract every penny from my residents....I win because I get to pass savings onto my residents....I keep winning because because my residents stay with me for as long as they can...I mean they are Bitcoiners and we like each other...probably because we don't have to try to extract all our value from each other and rather we get to add value to each other - we make each other's lives better and we kind of like that feeling....
OK - well if you have gotten this far - this goes deeper still but I am going to leave this here for now...
I truly hope if you read this - that you understand this. We are Bitcoiners, We have Won...This is just the beginning!
Yes it is just a beginning.

What happens to your incentives when BTC no longer changes in relationship to fiat? There will come a time when fiat dies and BTC = BTC and that is it. No appreciation that is discernible because there is nothing to compare it to. People are only jumping for joy because they are looking through the wrong end of the binoculars.

That's the beauty of it...and it isn't really that hard of a question to answer as you are living it now... 1 Sat = 1 Sat and when all we do is valued in sats the comparisson to FIAT ceases to exist...
Then the value you receive from me is simply the utility I provide - no more, no less....this value will be much, much less volatile and hence require zero incentive for us to be willing to exchange with each other.... those that "do" or "produce" will likely have to incentivize new users to their "product" or "service" .... yes that is right - If what you produce is new or better you will have to prove it to the network using the "base" product or service and they will need to be incentivized to come over to your network.
I mean just think about having abundance and how you handle it...right now utility companies with more energy than there network can handle actually pay users to leave the lights on in buildings.... Imagine the local farmer producing a bumper crop and not wanting his work to go to waste, instead pays people to come and disperse it to people outside of the normal network...
It's tough to think this way...sounds completely backwards....but I think it works....
