which wallet do you download?
Did you ever read any of my multiple BTC LN guides? I don't think so... So get started https://darth-coin.github.io/wallets/wallets.html
And btw, stop using crap app stores to "download" LN apps... use direct links to github repos, Obtainium or zapstore.dev Read more here: https://darth-coin.github.io/beginner/bitcoiners-mobile-device-en.html

Cash App is a lightning wallet. Strike is a lightning wallet.
Both are very available in the US.
Zeus is a lighting wallet where you have your own node! You can handle lightning and on chain. It's self custody.
Breeze is a lighting wallet wher you self custody.
Phoenix is a lightning wallet that you self custody.
You can run phoenixd on your computer and have a wallet.

CashApp & Strike = full KYC, takes a long time to get the wallet ready. Zeus you can't bother a newbie with running a node, takes ages to setup. Breeze and Phoenix aren't available on the AppStore. WoS, Blink etc are all not available.

Your original post asked if lightning was banned in the US. Now you are shifting arguments about KYC?
ZEUS does not take long to set up. If you are onboarding newbies then you are not interested in teaching people about Bitcoin and how the network successfully works.
Reddit is peak clown leftist nonsense.
You just want to set people up with electronic Fiat substitutes.
If you want to be KYC free then you need to learn how to use a computer and serve services to your phone.
