Sometimes is OK to post a link as big news, if is an important thing (a new release, a new controversial article you want to comment) to announce to the rest. Also adding some of "your personal" views, comments or rant will give more "content" to why you posted that link.
But posting every fucking day articles from another online publications, like a dumb bot is kind of boring and annoying. And the whole thing of this shit is coming from the SN system of rewards, letting these assmilkers to game the system and zaping each others few sats just to bump their position in the ranking so they get the daily rewards.
It's sad that many stackers do not pay attention to these details every day and keep zapping these assmilkers.
Yesterday I suggested that the leaderboard and the rewards system be removed totally. Not sure if SN want that....
posting every fucking day articles from another online publications, like a dumb bot is kind of boring and annoying fully agree. Though I've been saying this before, I despise posts that are just links and nothing else, those are clickbait to generate views. Links with complete summaries, so that the link is only the source, but I get what it wants without the link - that merits a zap if it's interesting. Better yet: Own, original text posts that embed a link as a "further reading" and source part. Great. But for fucks sake, these bots that just post the link and run should be shunned. Rsync is the one who always catches my eye for doing this shit.

This is similar to the Twitter nonsense that Bitcoin Magazine would do. They would post something and not provide a link or source and I would waste time pointing it out.
Also when someone posts a screen shot without a link to the source is time wasted.
And finally guys who use the markdown quote tag when they are just being grouchy.

Yeah the rewards ranking is so weird. Accounts that are barely active are always above me. I constantly in the high 20s low 30s

Yes, we are educating the bot to be a better bot and meanwhile we let the bot spend sats to post.
About the leader board, I'm not a fan of this either. It's good and it's bad. Anonymity of the leader board might be interesting and metrics as to why that person leads can be insightful but this is possible also by study.
I'm sure someone can crawl through Stacker News and extract all kinds of data. Regarding data I think it's fascinating but it's only a snapshot of the past. If a Stacker here works hard he or she can make some friends and earn sats from thoughtful content.
This subject reminds me of the two local news papers sold in convenience stores. The titles are different as to the names of the papers but the cover pages are identical with "News" from the same sources.
It's lik,e which shit rag that has been used over and over world you like to clean you face with?
