I completly get your point about double rewards now. More reward means more zapping.

I agree and I'll extend it further however I don't understand it too well.

For me SN rewards are like monetization on youtube or any other platform but with a big difference.

  • YT only rewards the content whereas SN rewards both the content creators and content consumers.
  • The only problem here I see is that the rewards for the consumers on SN has to be financed by SN as of now. However this can easily be solved by pinning up a monthly advertisement on top of home page for 3 million sats.
  • But then again why would someone give 3M sats when there are hardly 100 tk 200 active users daily?
  • So, the real problem I guess is we don't have mass entrance on SN upto now.
  • The other thing about rewards being manipulated is what I totally disagree. I've tried zapping early but didn't get the desired results. I don't know what makes you there on the top? But I think it can be a mix of creating v4v content and zapping top content.

It's hard to project how SN's financing will evolve, because we're here so early. Most of us probably share your view that major growth in users will be the path.

However, think about how big of a difference it would make if one super rich person fell in love with SN like many of us have. That alone could cause rewards and zaps to increase dramatically.
