Took my daughter to dance class tonight, which is a regular Wednesday evening routine. I usually go for a walk and listen to a podcast while my daughter is in class but today I had to leave to go pick up my wife from work and drop her at home before coming back to pick up my daughter.
Before she went into class I told her “have fun. Daddy has to go pick up mommy from work but I will be back to pick you up at 7 o’clock when your class ends”.
She said “ok daddy but don’t forget me”
I replied “I would never forget you baby”
So she said “ok, but whisper it to yourself so you don’t forget”.
I whispered to myself and didn’t forget.

Haha
She was worried you would leave her there and she would have to be the last one with the teacher.
I bet that would give her a lot of stress.
She was ok with it. Just not used to me going somewhere when she is in class.
Its good that she is somewhat independent!
So sweet. Those are the moments you never forget.
I thought it was so cute that she had her own trick for remembering.
That is soooooo sweet! You must be a proud dad! I can't wait to start my journey as a dad next March!
I am a very proud dad. I am so impressed that she has a strategy to remember important things.
You or your wife must have taught her this memory technique at some point in time 👍
Most likely.
That is so sweet. My daughter is 17 now. I miss when she was younger and said stuff like this. One of the best feelings ever.
