Cheers for a full year of talking sports, talking shit, and making friends. Digging back, I found that my first encounter with you guys was actually during the 2023 NBA playoff pick'em where I correctly predicted the Heat will beat the Celtics on home court in game 7 of the ECF. And of course I won the round #178892. It was before the Meta takeover days and the posts were posted in ~bitcoin.
For the NBA Cup pool, I think that it's funny the two people with the least number of picks going into the knockout stage did the most so called "analysis". It's as if the analysis were bad anyways, because the results say so.
The Warriors pick really makes me nervous. I'll try to explain it more for the reason behind the pick if I ever end up writing that analysis post. If it happens, it will be tonight or tomorrow night. Probably end up to be some crappy analysis you shouldn't pay any attention to anyways; but it might provide some entertainment value.
The Thunder are just a delight to watch. They got hands everywhere, forcing turnovers and converting them into points. Karuso was never a stat guy, but he's very impactful with his defense. Also can't wait for Chet to come back and see OKC in full strength.
I remember that year when Kobe passed and the All Star Game was actually entertaining in the 4th quarter. Everyone was playing defense and actually trying to win. I don't know what will incentivize these guys to play hard and put on a good show in the All Star Game again, but it's really bad at its current state and they might as well cancel the game altogether if this no heart, no effort shit continues.

What did you think about that Bucks Celtics game tonight? Bucks took them to the wire but 1 for 11 in those last few minutes killed them.

I didn't get to watch the game because I had to drive my daughter to rock climbing. It seems I'm driving my kids to something every night and don't get to watch the east coast games. I'll catch the highlights and try to make something of it. Watching TWolves vs Warriors game now. Glad to see both Curry and Green back playing.
I think the Bucks really turned the page and saved their season. They are my pick for next round of the NBA Cup pool if I get past this round. But 1 for 11 in the last few minutes will definitely not win you games, especially not against a good team like the Celtics. Dame was suppose to be their clutch guy / closer, but it doesn't seem that way lately.

Good finish between Hawks and Lakers as well. Man Trae Young is awesome. Hawks playing well lately.

Beating the Lakers in OT isn't saying much, but close games are always fun to watch.

7-3 in last 10.

That's pretty good. Would be interesting if they are able to beat the Knicks next Wednesday, although I'm not counting on it.
Warriors not looking very good. Too many bad passes leading to turnovers. Also, no one from the Warriors seem to be able to finish tonight, let it be 3's or drives. Dug themselves into a pretty big hole and need to play much better in the second half for a chance to win this one.

Woah, just saw that Trae Young got 31 points and 20 assists, crazy stat! And that game winner 3 was cold!

Yeah incredible performance.
I managed to watch most of the Bucks game. Considering where they were, it was an encouraging effort.

Couldn't close it out but I am not going to fault them for losing a close game to Boston in Boston.
