As an Astro fan it pains me but I thi k Breggy goes next to Boston or the Jays. With how big Soto’s contract got I can easily see him now asking $250 mil minimum and likely getting 275 out of someone.
He's great but the wrong side of 30. Co tract might work for a year or two but then its going to be rough. Only way he stays in Houston is if he takes a $200 mil deal over 5. Even if he cares about money this deal, since Texas has no state income tax, still might get him more money but it won't seem like itI the headlines.

It would be great if the Jays signed him but to your point he is getting older. If he wants a 5 plus year contract it is probably not worth it. A 3 or 4 year deal would be great.

I know the Astros offered him 5 at I want to say 150-160 so for him he will have to decide does he want more guneteed long term or a higher AAV
