Best way to gift Bitcoin?
I see the open dime looks to be the possibly the best so you as the gifted donāt have the keys etc
But is it the easiest for new users to work out?

This is what Iām trying to build, I added information about it here #78021
Itās more for easy tipping but could also work as gifting.
Iāve gifted Sats using Open Dimes which is really cool, and I give them a print out of the QR Code to check their balance, the whole thing is a piece of art and itās very easy but I still feel like the person receiving it will feel intimidated at some point in case they want to transfer them somewhere else. Also Iām sure many will lose them or completely forget about them.
So what Iām set out to build is an easy way of gifting Sats without having to manually onboard the person right on the spot or worry that they wonāt experience the use cases of bitcoin. The user can claim the funds and do a self-onboarding, experience many of the use cases like loading up a virtual Visa card using their Sats via https://paywithmoon.com or buy gift cards using bitrefill, buy something online via LN and many other.
I think thatās one thing we all need to aim for, allowing users to fully experience things they can do with bitcoin before we ask them to start DCAāing!
How is your project going?
Still in the initial idea stage, I enrolled in the Bolt š© Funās Legends of Lightning ā”ļøTournament.
https://makers.bolt.fun/tournaments/1/overview
And was able to assemble a team, submissions start tomorrow and we get to build in public for the next month and a half! Iām not a programmer, Iāve been in affiliate marketing for 10+ years so I had to scout for people to join me in building this project and see what we are able to build, obviously the initial stage would be a simple MVP to test and gauge of people would truly use it!
Yeah, good luck man - keep us posted.
Hereās week 1 update! šš»šš»

Great work so far
Thank you!
Once we have something that is stable and feel comfortable will let you know.. The Proof of Concept works right now but still lots to do.
For sure looking forward to seeing the next update š«”šÆ
Looks good - Clean and simple UI
Will take it out for a spin :)
Good luck with it!
Thank you!
If you want to see progress hereās what was done in week 1

Yes, the easiest one is with LNURL-w links.
Create a bunch of them, print them or simply send by email or chat and receiver can withdraw the sats anytime with almost any LN wallet.
Are many ways to create LNURL-w:
Video tutorial here
More details about the LNbits extension
type in the chat with the bot: /withdraw_lnurl_50000 (or any other amount) and will create a QR code and a LNURL address that can be shared, printed or whatever you want to do with it.
This is the simplest and fastest way, no node or server necessary.
Here is the full guide for LNTXBOT
Same as LNTXBOT you have https://t.me/LightningTipBot
Cool list, I have used https://laisee.org/ before.
How was that experience?
Seamless, but only used it once as I met some Chinese friends after Chinese New Year.
Chinese people gift each other money, so I guess it made sense? Makes you think a bit.
Nice UI, fixed Sats work for that purpose, good red packet designs. Aside from that, I go LN.cash.
i've used ln.cash many times to pay back friends small amounts. for example, buying a beer off a friend at an event. just create an ln.cash link and drop it in their telegram for future payment retrieval.
Great list Darth. Was expecting your response in meme form? Are you feeling ok?
When I see that people are interested in learning how to use BTC/LN I gave them extensive guides.
When I see that they are shitcoining I gave them memes.
Swan Bitcoin has a gifting method they implemented last Christmas. The cool part about this gift is it also signs them up for Swan, so they can take it upon themselves to start easily DCAing into Bitcoin which is the goal, right? Swan also has educational material and encourages self custody from the start! Here's my referral link if you'd like to check out Swan and try gifting that way (I believe it's only US at the moment). https://www.swanbitcoin.com/philfaz
Iāll have a look into it. Smooth referral plug
Swan is a respectable service provider, however, providing a no corner the opportunity to begin their bitcoin journey with some non-KYC sats is tip-top in my opinion.
Yes this one is awesome, Iām DCAāer on swan and they are itās my primary place for stacking!
Their gifting feature is really great, smooth onboarding, lots of education material and they can start DCAāing right away!
With our approach is a bit different, itās more for something on the go, letās say you want to tip your waiter/waitress or the valet parking, or pretty much anyone that provides a service where donāt have to ask them for their email or any personal information, just let them scan a QR Code and off they go on their own! We have to build an extremely robust self-onboarding experience, something that is not very intimidating for the user, I thought about breaking down a user experiences in the following categories:
Basically offering use case scenarios for them to experience first hand on the LN Network and make them feel comfortable to use it and hopefully inspire curiosity to learn more.
I just posted an update on the week 1 of building

On discord and telegram you can find Zebedee bots that work for tip/rain and payment. On Twitter you have several, the best I think is CoinKit. Zebedee also has the possibility for game developers to implement small sats rewards
Any links you can share on these and how it worked for you?
Sure. ZBD Here you can see their website the link to the Discord and Telegram bot. There is all the info for developers and gamers too ZEBEDEE.
Twitter ZBD
And for Twitter you have CoinKit and CCTip both of which are multi-currency. I like CoinKit more because the tweets are clearer about what the user must do to obtain the reward.
In all the user who receives the reward must have their app, something similar to a wallet. They all work with lighting network
Satscard seems like a great option:

BTC Sessions recently published a video guide:
view on youtu.beHave you used it?
no, not yet.
This is a valuable thread. I definitely have to come back here when I eventually start my own community project. I will most likely start by using Azteco to buy sats and using those to buy groceries for the underprivileged people in my area. Tipping would be another option for those who becomes familiar with bitcoin. Thank you for sharing.

You can use LN-withdraw links,
You can create them yourself using your node via LNBits, or 3rd party services, which I see have been mentioned below
