people sing in the shower because it is one of the last compartments of freedom in our lives, and the hot water must be helping the mind control come out of the pores and stream down into the drain.
don't stop believing. hodl to that feeling! i am typically triggered by believers and non-believers alike. feels good!

The last compartment

Why do most people like to sing (or humm) in shower? Because they are naked and get Hot :P
What could be something thag triggers out a singer suddenly out of nowhere? Because they are connected with the inner source of water :)
BTW, today it s 2 questions and not one :P
reply
Nice catch but as I already said the questions will be subjective, so the second one is just a little add on.

For me singing and humming in the shower feels like a form of self-expression and relaxation. The act of humming which can elevate mood, reduce stress, and energize the mind. It's a natural, almost meditative way to connect with ourselves with no musical ability required.

connect with ourselves
It's real. It happens.

I don't think I've ever sang in the shower, so I can't speak from personal experience! Most of my singing is in the car when I'm listening to one of my favorite songs! However, I would guess that it may be because for some it's the only time they're unplugged from their devices and away from distractions. Acoustically it probably sounds better as well.
reply
Away from distractions.
Some people may be crying that they can't even be away in the shower. ;)

I think we all love to sing. My guess is, in the shower we feel more safe because of the sound cover it provides. I love to sing along to music and so it usually happens when I drive. Bit I don't really sing in the shower often. I almost always have a song playing in my head though.

Staying Alive by the bee gees

The acoustics are really good, so that's the best you're going to sound. Also you're alone with nothing else to do. No audience to embarass you either.
It's the perfect time to belt out Roar by Katie Perry obviously.

Thanks to the relaxing effect of humming my life turned upside down. Decades ago I would label people who are humming as unhinged. But everything changed when I realized the therapeutic effects of doing it on a daily basis. Yes I hum for health reasons.
reply
The subtle acoustic distortion that I create every time I hum is Euphonic to say the least which is why I have this habit of doing it a couple of times a day. People whom are listening will find it strange but I find it strange for all the good reason.
reply
Personally I have been humming since I was tiny and minute. I hum exclusively in the shower room so that my natural phonetic instrument will be the highlight of the intimate moment with myself.
reply
No reason. I just love humming. But I think they are humming since they are happy to relay music inside the shower room. It is somewhat peaceful.
reply
I hum simply because I love singing and I love music. In the bathroom I hum for I am happy that Bitcoin reached 100K and because I love singing naked.
reply
We are imagining or creating some thought experiment and the implementation of such is singing inside the bathroom. It sounds as if you are inside a music hall which is why it so special. It is a special performance that no one would ever hear.
reply
Humming is needed for meditation. It has healing properties. In the bathroom it is about healing as well. Healing while bathing

The place where you're not ashamed to take cloth off is also the place where you could do less but still "shamefull" things that you truly like and be free of judgement, be it singing or ass milking. Only if it's not in a public shower.
Or the sensation of liberation that also frees your mind and voice?

In today's highly-distracted society, I'd say the bath or shower is one of the only places where people are often left with just their thoughts.
