I've argued many times with prominent Bitcoin people about stable coins and they always rebut with the use case is Asia or outside the western world.
If I remember correctly I think Strike initially used Tether to handle back end of it's Fiat network. I guess Tron is cheaper.
The truth is that none of us will ever like how a big business runs Bitcoin and we will either stop using the service out of virtue signaling or necessity of avoiding the rug pull.
I closed my PayPal account in 2021 or 2020 after 15 plus years. I never had an issue personally but I read stuff and emotionally I decided not to use it anymore. But the truth was that I earned a percentage back from PayPal Business and I even had it connected to Fold and earned double Fiat and Bitcoin! But I had to take a stand and to this day PayPal doesn't miss me.
So...
I'm not going to police another man's business. If the man is doing harmful things then I will leave and play somewhere else. If it's a matter of virtue signaling then I might as well use the beneficial service.
Strike wants to be the big money sending business and they will do whatever it takes to get there. If it goes against Bitcoin then they will pay the price. If it's helpful they will reap the reward.
Since I'm not a great business man, entrepreneur or even halfway put together decently I'll just work on me first before I piss on this.
That said or stated I have had experience using Tron network and it never made me feel confident or good. I always went back to Bitcoin. Whatever international business does it has to use layer2 over the time chain. Fiat interface will not be fast enough because there is no denominator to Fiat. Until this is fully understood there will always be shitcoins and shitcoin networks vying to complete with Swift or similar structures.
