I'm surprised it's so little. Then relative to other ecosystems it's a tiny fraction. Less than 10%.

Yeah but I was thinking there's like 8 or 10 people who were actually developing Bitcoin.

Fair actually. I'd have look into the methodology, but I'd guess they are including people beyond Bitcoin Core maintainers and including all the bitcoin app developers and stuff.
