Nice. I feel like it's a luxury to be able to watch basketball uninterrupted these days. I don't think I can finish the rest of this game, because I have to go pickup my little one from Chinese school soon. Game is shaping up to be a tight finish, so I'll try to stay as late as possible before leaving.
Hey, if your wallet is not working, don't bother zapping my replies. I saw in another post that you were doing random 69-420 sats or something. Don't want you wasting sats on my trivial replies. I'm more than happy just having someone to talk basketball with.
I'll zap what I want to zap, thank you very much.

I am eager to get my attached wallets fixed, when I finally get home.

You use Alby hub on your own lightning node? If you don't mind doxxing your setup. If you do mind, a simple "none of your business" would suffice.
The reason I'm asking is that I tried Alby hub on my own lightning node running on Start9 Embassy. But the experience wasn't very good. The Alby hub would often times go offline making me unable to zap on SN. I ended up just switching to another custodial service using Coinos NWC for send.

I just have Alby Hub running on my PC. It's been working perfectly well, aside from occasional hiccups that you expect from new tech. I opened a public channel to SN, which is the bulk of activity on my node.
Did you try it early on? I know they made some updates to improve stability. I recall having more issues in the beginning, but I don't remember what they were.
reply
I tried it when SN announced they were moving to all self custody wallets. I think it was back in October? I don't remember exactly. It didn't work as well as I wanted, and the Coinos solution worked better, so I stuck with Coinos. Didn't really want to devote extra time into figuring it out, as SN being self custodial or not isn't that big a deal to me, I've always withdrawn sats to my own node when SN balance gets too high anyways.
Besides, I figured it might also be a better idea to keep less bloat and less attack surface running on my lightning node anyways, as I do keep a good amount of sats on there. So I'll just stick with my current setup with Coinos for now, until it doesn't work anymore.
Btw, I did end up catching the end of the Bucks vs Hawks game. Ended up watching / listening to the rest of it on my phone while driving to Chinese school. Seems like Giannis' big block on Capela plus Dame's clutch floater sealed the win for the Bucks. Looks like supercyclone is out and you may not need to pay that extra side bet; well, that's if OKC wins tonight, which I think is very likely.

The block was awesome. Then Dame actually made a big defensive play, breaking up a pass in the paint to keep the Hawks from closing the lead.
I hadn't previously been running a lightning node. I started because that's the direction Alby was moving and I wanted to give it a try. So far, I only have a couple of channels that I use regularly. Hopefully, they didn't get force closed while my node's been down.
