You can't give the MVP to a losing player.

Yes, it makes sense

Jerry West begs to differ.

reply

Jerry West? and you are calling me boomer. What year are you living in sir?

reply

I guess the ABA playoffs are a more recent example, but even I don't know if they ever awarded Playoff MVP to someone who ultimately lost.

Mark my words, if the Rockets beat the Bucks, Giannis will be MVP.

reply

That would be lame. Hopefully the Thunder win tonight and it doesn't come to that.

reply

I hope the Thunder win it all and Giannis still wins MVP.

reply

Giannis has been amazing throughout this tournament; throughout the past while actually, be it NBA Cup games or not. I guess that's part of the reason why the Bucks are 12-3 in their last 15 games.

reply

If we all remember I did pick the Bucks to win the cup and Undisciplined laughed.

I never doubted his greatness. But giving an MVP to a player from a team that loses in the finals is absurd.

reply

If we all remember, I picked the Bucks as my preseason contender that people were sleeping on.

Have you been living under a rock for ten years?

What about the world makes you think an absurdity can't happen? Fidel Castro's illegitimate kid is your president, for goodness sake.

I agree if Thunder wins the cup, SGA will be MVP.

That would be interesting

reply

Now you are being completely ridiculous. You could argue since the Rockets don't have a superstar that Giannis would win but if the Thunder win SGA is definitely winning MVP,
