Under the popular analogy that our bodies are our hardware and our mind/thoughts our software, I was reflecting on DNA. Curious to hear from others whether they would categorize DNA as either human hardware or software.

DNA is meant to be immutable so it is hardware, proteins execute so they are software and RNA is the bridge between the two so RNA is firmware
