Why do some people feel the need to repeatedly tell others how they should use stacker news? All while feeding a ton of energy to the same user they are saying should be ignored/muted. This makes no sense. If someone isn't worth paying attention to, then why pay them so much attention? Is it to "save" the stackers from them? Or is it pure ego. I am thinking it is the latter. They seem to have a strong need to try and control others. It's one thing to call out a scammer and help it be known. But to just constantly spam someone over and over and over....??? Maybe instead, mind your own damn business! Stay in your lane. Offer something valuable.

Do we really need to tell others who they should follow and who should be muted? Are we little children who need babysitters? Do we need gatekeepers to keep us safe from big bad scammers? Can anyone really be saved anyways?

This behavior is super annoying in my opinion. It's interesting how different peoples insecurities manifest on a forum like this.
