Where's the transcript?
I only come here for the transcript.
At 1.1gb my whisper app CRASHED!
I need to figure out some tool to down convert the audio to a lower bit rate.
At worst, I’ll play the podcast on a computer and re-record with my phone next to it just for podcast transcript purposes, which I could do? 🤷♂️

@Undisciplined it looks like being a .wav is the big culprit. Using Audacity to convert to mp3 dropped to 95mb!

Ok I’m going to hope my app does .m4a files which are ffmpeg files cuz that’s what my voice memos have been. But audacity made me download that as a separate library due to proprietary issues? Anyways I’m doing 98kbps quality and 8K sample rate. Hopefully there small enough to work! And can still be transcribed

Ok the .m4a failed when converted by Audacity. Oh well! If I have the patience to re-record the whole pod as a voice memo on my phone then I can transcribe, but unlikely! Maybe I’ll find a clip I like and record that tho 🫡
