IMO the lack of measures against the limit of taproot witness will prove to be a vulnerability that negatively impacts lightning.

It is very easy to avoid the problem, simply make sure that you don't open a channel that is more than the fees of an average 5 blocks, as a malicious channel counterparty could exploit this to publish an out of date channel closure in their favour.

Essentially what this transaction illustrated was that there is not an economic disincentive to spam the chain with very large witnesses.
