We are back with another recap for the Bitcoin baseball team, the Perth Heat.
I wish I had better news to share but it was another losing series for the Heat this past week, as they lost the series 3 games to 1 against the Canberra Cavalry.
Here is how it played out:
Game 1: The Heat's pitching woes continued as they fell 6-2 in the first game of the series. SP Tucker Smith kept the game close giving up only 2 runs in 5 innings but the bullpen allowed 4 runs in the last two innings. On the hitting side of things LF Tim Kennelly and C Alex Hall both had 2 hits.
Game 2: Heat pitching finally gets on track as they squeak out a 1-0 win. SP Young Woo Shin was dominant pitching 5 shut out innings with 5 strikeouts. The Heat's lone run came from an rbi single by LF Ulrich Bojarski.
Game 3: Another good pitching performance but the bats were silent and the Heat fall 3-1. An amazing starting pitching performance by Jong-Hae Won who pitched 6 shutout inning with 7 strikeouts goes for naught as the bats don't keep up their end. 1B Fumiya Kurokawa being the lone bright spot with 2 hits.
Game 4: With a chance to split the series the Heat got absolutely clobbered 12-2. Terrible pitching performance by both the starter and the bullpen and the lone bright spot was a late 2 run homer by LF Ulrich Bojarski.
After 5 series the Heat are 8-12 and in 5th place in the ABL. Let's hope they can get back on track next round against the Brisbane Bandits who are the worst team in the league.
Go Heat!
Sats for all,
