Did Ricky always talk about himself in the third person?
But RIP to the greatest base stealer in the MLB

Often. He beat to his own drum. I feel like you never really appreciated him until he was on your team, and you realized how much he brought to the table.

Everyone else will remember him as an A and rightly so but this is how I remember Rickey!

A's?

He was on the Mets? AI generated?

I had to do a double check that was legit too. I didn't realize that his time with the As was in 4 separate stints, wild. Also, I knew he played for a ton of teams but didn't know how many, like the Dodgers and Mariners. Kenny Lofton must have been inspired by Henderson in many ways haha
reply
Oh no. He was an asset to that team, too.
reply
Oh, no! He was such a legend -- a genuine gamechanger.

His stolen base record… man I don't think you can beat it even with the new rules

I was surprised he was 65. I know he had a long career, but it doesn't seem like he retired that long ago.

Those were my exact thoughts… he was before my time but not by much

Even as a Dodger fan I loved to watch him play.

You are a fan of the dodgers and 49ers?
