Thanks for sharing your reflecrions. I'm not sure what normalcy means in your milieu, but i find people are more prone to being skeptical of what they don't understand. It might be a reflex from living in a world where so many people get duped by nefarious nstitutions. Obviously Bitcoin isn't the same, but this is a struggle for the average normal to understand.
