In general and by its popularity, I would say Led Zeppelin is probably better in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. Pink Floyd is probably better in Progressive Rock, Psychedelic Rock. The Beatles is probably better in Rock, Pop Rock (except some early albums are influenced by psychedelic style). Also all of them are belonging to Rock music a crucial genre to the Popular music, makes it hard to tell who's better.
In short, I just can't decide and I'm sure most of us wouldn't want to for art is purely subjective and artists are incomparable.
However, if we were to have only one of them, who would you like to listen?
Pink Floyd 41.2%
Led Zeppelin 35.3%
The Beatles 23.5%

Love them all. It would probably be scary to consider how much of my life was spent listening intently to these three bands. Gotta go with The Beatles.
reply
I too love them all. I don't think most of America would disagree on The Beatles.
reply
All great.. All groundbreaking.. All different.

All accepted and all required!!
reply
All great. For me, it's pink Floyd always.
reply
Awesome! There's no question about the greatness. It's only if we had only one? Pink Floyd for you.
reply
LZ for me. PF are decent too though but Beatles never did anything for me.
reply
I agree with your sequence. LZ for me as well. For Beatles, I don't want to listen their live concerts for they are too much to the ears.
reply
Of the bands mentioned I will choose Led Zeppelin simply as a matter of personal preference, not because one is better than the other. If the question were which band is the most influential in history, my answer would be different.
reply
Yay! LZ for me as well.

I am with The Beatles. Actually i don't like heavy metal songs.
reply
Didn't Beatles hit the heavy metal? I think they themselves will accept their live shows are very heavy metal and sometimes pain to the ears.
reply
I have to go with Led Zeppelin on this one. I don't really listen to much of any of the groups on the list, but I do have some songs I like from each! I can't give you any idea which is actually better though, just my personal preference!
reply
Yes, music is personal preference. I understand that. But as I said if we had only one of the three, who would you like to have?
reply
Yep, I picked Led Zeppelin because I like their sound a good bit!
