Haven’t seen that in a while. A wonderful film which goes so very deep. It’s of its time - not sure the accent helps Tracy in an otherwise great performance - but thoroughly enjoyable and does go for the heart strings.

Yes. Very sentimental. I have not seen many Spencer Tracy movies before. Any other recommendations? I also saw Sergeant York for the first time the other day. I haven't seen much Gary Cooper other than Pride Of The Yankees.

Well, Tracy did a couple of courtroom films but I’m not personally a huge fan; ‘Inherit the Wind’ is better than ‘Adam’s Rib’, Judgement at Nuremberg is excellent. For light relief there is the original ‘Father of the Bride’ although I actually prefer the Steve Martin version..
For a good Cooper film try ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ or ‘High Noon’. If Mrs Siggy is out you could watch ‘Morocco’… :) I think he did ‘The Fountainhead’ (based on the Ayn Rand book) but I haven’t seen it and may be mistaken.
