Not sure if this was the place to ask this but I got a horse the second day I was here and lost it this morning. Losing it this quick makes me wonder what it's even about. My best guess is probably you get one when you bring more sats in on your posts than you spent. I'm probably way off though.

I don't know what some of these icons are, either (the gun? the horse?) but the culture is generally "fuck around and find out" vs explicit asking. Although sometimes people let stuff slip :)
Usually questions / discussions related to the operating of the site itself are asked in the ~meta territory; but I will often ask less weighty questions in the daily Saloon thread which lots of people at least glance at. It's a good place to hang out when you're new, to see who's who, and to get into the rhythm of things.

The hat, horse, and gun are easter eggs - we don't explicitly tell you how to get/keep them. You're meant to learn over time.
