It's not about Aristotle or Jane Austin. "Man" is a word that is/has been commonly used to denote "Mankind".
I didn't compare myself with Aristotle. I just quite him to tell you what actually I meant. If the word 'Woman" or "girl" had denoted commonly to human beings, I would have used that lovingly.
So, there's nothing like getting offended here. Even then I'm sorry if it did in any ways.

all good, dude, just that I'm tagged in the post, so wanted to flag it for being untrue. While we're on it, there are a lot of errors with this sentence.
We're all men and the legend is only one among us and truly deserves (is a small word), he owns this award.
