lol your bio. On the next update I push
  1. I'll rename your account
  2. block the username
  3. redirect any /statistics to /satistics

Thanks for letting me know! I thought I had blocked that username … not sure what to do about it yet

Suggestion:
Add Lightning Address⚡ automatically as a field in every account's profile / bio.
Or, if not automatic, maybe make like a checkbox to enable? (or a field, pre-filled with nym, but can be changed, if I want to use a lightning address for a different wallet?)
I had to use code so it wouldn't get a mailto: URI.

Yep, I want to do a tipping interface on profiles - not just ln addr but
  1. sn user -> sn user
  2. or bolt11 invoice
  3. or ln addr

Oh, cool. I see it ... the "pay me bitcoin" feature.
Also cool, how did I not know that markdown had checkboxes?

We have our first Sybil upvoted post: How to create Bitcoin trading strategies which is thwarted by the WoT ranking.
reply
Is that WoT just serving as like an A/B comparison, for now?
i.e., eventually the front page will be populated by the algo populating WoT?
(and assuming at that point /rss would then match the WoT ?)
reply
Yep, just A/B. It'll probably go live on the front page by Feb and on the rss feed then too.

There's no way to increase the boost after submitting a post.
So is upvoting from another account is the only way to help get a post in the front page if the initial boost (and organic upvotes) is not sufficient?
reply
Yes. In earlier versions of the site, posts could be boosted after the fact by any user (not just the OP), but no one was using it and it made the tipping UX more complicated.
In the future, I suspect variable boost will be removed in favor of a fixed cost for boost with a guarantee that it'll be seen.

What's the best way to quote text that has @Twitter usernames without that creating a link for that handle on SN?
E.g.,
$SQ @blocks, with @jack at the helm, continues to lead the way for bitcoin adoption in the mobile payments sector with its integration of #Bitcoin Lightning Network into @CashApp.
Of course, those are Twitter usernames and not SN users.
I found I could use Code for that, but that's probably best used only for actual code.

Suggestions?
reply
I've noticed people making that mistake too. If you create a link out of it like @jack it works as expected. The markdown for this looks like this:
[@jack](https://twitter.com/jack)

Oh, ... ya, I forgot that method. A bit more work than just copy and paste, but that's a reasonable workaround.
