Makes sense. My dad was working in New York in the 80s. And he absolutely hates Trump, and says Trump represents everything bad about America.
I don't disagree, honestly. But look at what the Democrat Party has become... I truly think Trump is going to be better for the country than Kamala, and would've been better for a second term than Biden.
Personally, I would've preferred to see a DeSantis / Andrew Yang faceoff.
Yeah, I have never liked Trump the guy. He's a douchbag. I do like how much he triggers terrible people in power though. There are many evils in the US and he's not even close to the worst. That's what gets me.
My view is largely system wide though so I don't care that much. I wanna see the state fall from its lofty place of importance in people's minds. I want to see it de-fanged and one of the biggest sources of its power is belief in it.
Trump is a tool to divide just as Obama, Clinton, and Bush were before him. We are constantly being psyoped to be at each other's throats. Its how these evil people maintain control.

As a Republican working for a Republican Committee (amazingly esp in the Senate some people actually cross the aisle so ya gotta sometimes say it lol) I would never want to be Trumps friend. His policies for the most part I agree with but as a person... that's not my cup of tea so to speak the way he carries himself and acts is in my opinion isn't great.

What's your opinion of Andrew Yang?
reply
I think he has some really good ideas I do not think though he would have been good as a President at the moment. He needs more experience in managing either a huge company or an agency in the government something that is massive and has a trillion factors going on.
Policy-wise I think he is a little to optimistic but I think that's a good thing to aim high and when it doesn't work out how you want its alright

He was a big UBI guy right, or even the guy right?
He seems sharp but also far to socialist in his mindset. That's my opinion based on little exposure, for what its worth.

Well, as far as UBI goes, I think it's a better way to spend government money than most entitlements.
But i disagree with UBI for other reasons. it's naive to think that you can simply replace government programs with UBI.
  • Even with UBI, some people are going to squander their money / not take care of themselves. They'll be homeless or on drugs or whatever anyway. And then people will vote to spend money to help them, even with UBI.
  • So I don't think UBI can possibly be a full replacement for other government programs, even though I think it would be a better use of government money.

Fair. I assume you mean this due to the distorting nature of most entitlements and the unintended consequences.
