Yeah, he was catching a lot of short passes, despite being double and triple covered as the only real threat on our offense.
Who was supposed to be slinging it downfield? Desmond Ritter?
I didn't say he wasn't good. I said he wasn't an all pro this year.

Well, you're just objectively wrong about that.

@HardMoney had a good point as well that Trey McBride was also better than Bowers. I think an argument could be made.
reply
We must not be using the phrase "good point" in the same way.
reply
Well you seem to think receptions is the most important stat and McBride had more receptions per game than Bowers so an argument could be made. If you want to admit TDs and Yards per catch are more important then I guess Kittle runs away with it like I suggested.
reply
That's a lot of mental gymnastics to deprive the guy with the most catches, yards, and yards after the catch of the award he obviously earned.
And, let's not forget the circumstances. He did this in an offense that was so bad the OC was the first coach fired this year and the best of three QB's was Aidan O'Connel.
He did more than either Kittle or McBride with substantially less help than either.

It's not nice to lie to yourself. It's unhealthy. The truth will set you free. There is nothing wrong with being great but not the best.

You should read that into a mirror. It might help you come to terms with reality.
