Construction is currently underway for a utility-scale solar project in Lincoln County, Nevada, US. Bechtel has been selected by Estuary Power to design and construct a new photovoltaic (PV) solar facility with a capacity of 226 megawatts (MW) of direct current
The Escape Solar project will utilise approximately 389,000 PV solar panels spread across 900 acres. The facility is expected to generate clean energy for four major power customers in the region: MGM Resorts International, Overton Power District, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Las Vegas.
Vegas securing its green energy!
Bechtel says that the project will feature bifacial solar panel technology, which allows both sides of the panels to absorb sunlight.
“Bechtel is delighted to be joining a fantastic team to deliver clean power to Estuary’s customers in southern Nevada,” said Kelley Brown, operations manager of Bechtel’s renewables and clean power business.
The construction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025.
Why would they do this when they know that the sun is being blocked by chemtrails? The efficiency of the solar panels has gone way down since they are blocking the sun. All that money to be invested, at taxpayer expense, no doubt, will be tossed into the vortex in the toilet bowl, never to be seen again.

Pity. I thought the idea of bifacial social panels was ingenious
reply
That is strange! If you put one side to the sun, the other side gets no sun and collects no energy. It is only good if you break one side, then flip it over. Is that so useful?
reply
I’m not sure if this is a publicly funded project. The price tag and the funding source is not listed

It seems to me that there was a lot of money put out by the Biden gang from their Inflation Reduction Act. This could be the source of the money because most private enterprises would not evaluate this as a profitable enterprise without a free source of money to put into it. After all, PV are a very variable source of power without huge battery resources to balance the loads.
reply
But the main customers are Las Vegas strip casinos.
reply
That is interesting because the strip casinos need the most electricity at night, when the PV panels aren’t collecting energy. Unless they have one whopping huge set of batteries, the energy will go into the system only durning the day. It is not a good investment by the casinos, therefore, the state must be footing the bill for the project.
reply
It’s possible yes indeed
I’m quite excited by the prospect of bifacial solar panels. I hope this doesn’t turn out to be a farce

I would think that LasVegas wouldnt need more power. They should focus on their water problems. I have never heard of them having power issues, but I could be wrong.
reply
Everyone can use more power. I’m curious to know how much they spend per kWh on power.
reply
Vegas is a desert. It would be better to focus on their water consumption instead. Or try to find a well that can support the city. How does Vegas get their energy? Nuclear?
reply
Hoover dam.
