He is, but I think some of that loss needs to be laid at Campbells feet. He's always trying to do too much, when it works he's a genius, but when it doesn't it was just a stupid idea. I think he got too crazy a couple times. And Goff started playing bad before getting injured.

I said this and @Undisciplined said Detroit will love him forever regardless how many playoff games he screws up for them. I don’t think it was Campbell’s fault but definitely a couple questionable calls.

reply

I did say that, and I stand by it, but I was expecting him to win some playoff games.

reply

I think Lions fans will be more out on Goff than Campbell after last night.

reply

Me too, but we didn't hear most of the second half commentary.

I wonder what they'll do about Goff. Trade him for Purdy, maybe?

reply

Unlikely but that would be funny.

Not sure what they can do other than roll with him and hope it works out. Gibbs had a great game but Montgomery wasn’t very good coming back from his injury. Goff needs the two headed monster to the focal point of the offense.

reply

We do have to remember that what they fielded yesterday was a very very beat up version of them. Not taking away anything from the commies. And I don't think it all lands on Campbell but he does need to learn when to go for the throat and when to dial it back and play protect.

No, I am not accepting the injury excuse. They paraded around like they won the super bowl after getting "revenge" on the highly injured 49ers in a completely meaningless game and after the game St. Brown said "we spanked these boys" despite the fact they won by 6 points and were losing most of the game against a team they should have beat by 20. Regular season heroes. I don't accept their injury excuses. Injured D didn't turn the ball over 5 times. I like the team, they are exciting to watch but the team and their fans became way too arrogant for a team that has done nothing in the playoffs except beat the Rams by 1 point, beat a 9-8 Bucs team by one score and blow a 17 point lead to the 49ers in the NFC championship.

reply

I don't have any sympathy for the Lions. Watching them lose last night was the most enjoyable football game I watched all season. Their fans 100% have gotten too arrogant after two seasons of moderate success following 50 years of ineptitude.

That's fair, I wasn't attempting to use it as an excuse as to why they lost. I'd been saying they were frauds all season 😉 they had barely faced any above .500 teams all season. ARSB has such an ego and I really don't like that guy, he's a good WR sure, but bro is acting like he's prime Antonio brown.

Lions are cursed

but we knew the defense was suspect, same with Buffalo

reply

Aaron Glenn called a terrible game

reply

It wasn't great but I have a hard time blaming it all on the D when the offense turned the ball over 5 times.

reply

true but the defense couldn't stop 4th down and gave up big plays and had zero sacks and gave up 38 points without pick 6

not blaming all on D but shouldn't blame all on offense and 5 turnovers

reply

Definitely lots of blame to go around.
