Does NATO have some weak points at the moment? Yeah but pretty much all the countries are ramping up spending past the 2% point which is why Trump now wants 5%. When he did this last time he was in office Trump was able to get countries to boost their spending and it makes sense to continue to do so given the undersea cable incidents.
Countries like Spain and Italy are hurting for cash and so I doubt they will be able to ramp up considering they are not even at the 2% level.
