I’m sure you have heard of this legendary quote from Mark Twain:
And more importantly to me, how did you make yourself do it?
My wife and I had our second consultation with our interior designers last Saturday because we wanted to renovate our home. I have been wanting to write a follow-email (and bombard them with questions) throughout the whole work week. But work concerns always seemed pressing, so I never got down to doing it. (Yea, I recognise that my priorities are a bit flaws since I have kept up with my posting/commenting routine on SN.)
But moving along. Right now, I have to attend an ex-colleague’s wedding. So I chose to use the commuting time (about 30 mins) to really gather my thoughts on the subway and Just Do It! And I did.
Sensei feels all-powerful because he got an important thing out of the way first thing this weekend!
I didn't want to take a nap, but I'm sick and everything feels like a marathon so I did.
I don't want to get a car home, but I'm sick and it's 40 F out so probably shouldn't.
That’s great! I hope you are not feeling half-guilty about taking that nap haha
I had to read that a couple times... you "didn't" want to take a nap?
We are an entire galaxy apart on that one.
Since I got so fed up I was ready to rage quit my job does that count lol? I didn't do it but still 😂
Oh my goodness you need the comforting feels of sats!
There is so much chaos and people being full of themselves that it makes me sick. The lack of communication is just… sad
Lucky you have us to download these nauseating vibes on
I needed this. I've been struggling all day to get to a revision of a paper I'm working on. Revisions are the worst! You already wrote it once and now you're being asked to write it again.
I twiddled my thumbs all day and I might have to just get to it tomorrow. Thankfully I have a free day in front of me
I will hold you to it.
Otherwise I will downzap your next post n let you know!!
Are those revisions constructive feedback or painfully require you to adhere to someone’s preferred linguistic style or perspective?
The second, imo. It's not bad feedback per se, but it feels more like a preference / how to frame it thing. That's what makes it so hard to get motivated lol
I feel you so much.
I get triggered every semester when I have to change my remarks based on the style of whoever’s in charge. Grrrrr haha
It's in the negatives here (Fahrenheit) and I definitely didn't want to hook my semi up to the trailer this morning. It's the type of cold that's just painful.
But hey, it's the job right?
I assume you are a truck driver. What sorts of goods do you deliver?
I do LTL (less than full load) so I deliver a few pallets to each stop until I'm empty, and then do pickups until I'm full. Usually around 20 to 30 stops a day. I pick up just about anything you can imagine would be delivered on a truck. It's mostly manufacturing related stuff, but I definitely stop retail stores occasionally too.
Listen to people I work with being wrong, again...lol - Solution, just shut up, you will live longer ....
again
Must be infinitely annoying
