Thank you for asking me! You made me think while I was doing my household chores.

I think differently from Michael Masterson in the sense that if I’m not offering something truly unique into the market, then I’m just not motivated. Why try to be like everyone else? So I came up with the idea of teaching kids essay writing in both English and Mandarin. A bespoke bilingual curriculum, so to speak.

I went as far as to test my ideas out on my friend’s kid. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I stopped because it’s hard to work on the curriculum when I don’t teach Mandarin in my day job haha.

Now my dream is to offer a curated curriculum that teaches kids English and Science at the same time. Example, use passages from the Magic School Bus to teach comprehension strategies and scientific concepts. I will pivot to teach in an elementary school this July. I think this idea will work.
