Taxation is theft. That's where I stand. Tariffs are taxes. They aren't direct like income or property taxes but you are correct they affect prices of goods. They distort the market as ALL taxes do.

I would prefer tariffs over income and property taxes. I would prefer sales tax over those as well. I'd prefer no theft though. Make it voluntary. What is more patriotic than freedom? If you're an American that is.
