Do you have full control of the server? No. So you do not have a full private email.

Is there an easy tutorial video or web article where I can easily learn to set up my own domain email server? I lied that I run my own. How much does it cost? Which client will I get where I can see my emails? Such queries.

hmmm good question. Maybe I should write one.

But in my own experience, as a 25+ years IT sysadmin, running many email domains and servers, the cost is insignificant, is practically the cost of buying a domain and keeping a simple PC online 24/7. The software, depends on what do you want to achieve it could be even ZERO cost, free. If you want advanced solutions for business, then yes, it can involve some costs.

But nowadays, anybody can run their own email server/domain at home, for personal private use, with full control of the software, hardware and content.

Limit your online presence

Yes, why do you have to subscribe to all the shit available online? Limit your presence of giving your information (even if is a fake/nym one) to useless shit you find online.

Stop participating in useless quiz, voting, petitions, polls, questionnaires. Or at least select them and try to use more those without giving an email address. If something is promoted as "free stuff" just submit your email here... that means in almost all cases: gathering user data. Free stuff is NEVER free.
