robots aside, with all the death nails going into birthrates right now, what do you think fixes the problem? the replacement rate is already way too low and there arent enough working people to prop up the ponzi that is pension funds.

The solution is natural selection. There are still subsets of the population that are above replacement level. Over the course of a few generations, we'll be back on a growth track with their descendants.
There might be significant population declines before that.
