My family dog growing up. We got her when I was 6 years old. She gave me my lifelong love of dogs. The feathering on their coats can be a nuisance. She didn't know what a leash was back then. She would get sprayed by skunks in the woods, and we had to clean her off with tomato juice. I can still smell it.

I don't like dog breeds (business), does that make me a racist? ðŸ¤

Nope. I think it's the opposite.

Opposite!? If no one takes care of dog breeds, which is usually the dealers, there will be no more breeds. In short, I'm against races, there should only be one. Dogs! I guess that makes me a dog racist. 😂

I think creating breeds is sort of racist. It's sort of practicing eugenics. I'm ambivalent. Dogs have an amazing ability to be artificially manipulated into different shapes, sizes, athletic ability, health, longevity, etc. There is something to be said for there being one dog breed. Yet, I am particular about the type of dog I like. I'm basically a hypocrite.

This kind of dog, when it gets cockleburs, its such a long process getting them out!
I remember helping a friend having to pull some out and cut some out.

I do know these are good dogs to have as companions, especially at a younger age and living in the countryside.

She was a city dog 9 months of the year, then romped free during the summers
