I didn't realize bcoin was a full Bitcoin implementation! It's something I've wanted to build myself as an exercise to learn Bitcoin internals. I've also wanted to write a Lightning implementation in js/ts ... Systems people poo-poo dynamically typed languages, in some cases for good reason and I've been one of these people having been a committed C/C++/go person, but language expressiveness matters a lot if only for programmer enjoyment.
