yes this is the one, they have only a github repo now, not a web. Is still in early phase but worth testing it.

Sometimes the Bitcoin Design team make only suggestions that later could be applied. Not necessary to be the same as in that article.

Does not make sense, The design is published in Jan 2025, the Volt wallet last commit was 9 months ago. I doubt is a new design for the existing app or that it comes from the Bitcoin Design community.

this is the article describing the design, not the real design. idk exactly how is going the dev team and if they will implement the design explained in this article.
