They don’t speak Spanish
Geographically it’s not part of central or South America
Update: I guess it is Latin America. I thought the Caribbean was a different geographic entity

Latin America is a catchall term for countries that speak any of the Romance languages. Brazil and Haiti are usually included.
Also, the Caribbean Islands are all part of North America. Central America is sort of make believe, from a continental perspective.
