As big as Twitter is, there's undoubtedly some fines that some regulatory agencies could whip out now and order Twitter to pay. It's just a matter of time.
In the anime "Konosuba" the "heros" cause lots of trouble they usually end up having to pay for and take on quests to resolve issues they cause.
Politicians have for a very long time campaigned on solving problems they caused. So this is a very interesting dynamic to watch play out. Will the capability be officially dismantled? If so, what will our politics look like in the coming years as a result?
