Idk why people make such a big deal about that ππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ Twitter has fact-checked all kinds of tweets for a long time now π
People like anything that works against the left in this space. I am personally happy to have anyone fact checked, but the popular thing to do is to call anything left leaning fake news and anything right leaning is raised up as gospel.
The USG will take revenge for this by one means or another. Regulatory agencies will sometimes overlook fines against corporations -- and store those up for later use. As big as Twitter is, there's undoubtedly some fines that some regulatory agencies could whip out now and order Twitter to pay. It's just a matter of time.
In the anime "Konosuba" the "heros" cause lots of trouble they usually end up having to pay for and take on quests to resolve issues they cause.
Politicians have for a very long time campaigned on solving problems they caused. So this is a very interesting dynamic to watch play out. Will the capability be officially dismantled? If so, what will our politics look like in the coming years as a result?

The most obvious response is for NASA to drop all SpaceX flights. Dunno if that's possible but I'm sure the Whitehouse wants to.
I've never been fact checked by Twitter. What does that mean?
