That was the example I had heard someone bring up. Military contractors produce death and destruction at a fraction of the cost (while paying their workers more).

They probably waste more too. Right into their own pockets

It's definitely an example where the private sector is incentivized to waste. Probably look into contractors who work for the military for instance.
