Correct actually... Email isn't really a private thing... The main benefit is having a unique email for each account such that you can disable at will. So I'd call it more a security thing than privacy. Security in that if an attacker attempts to create a dossier on you, it's harder for them since they'll not be able to use your email and password from one place (attained by purchasing from dark net) and using it somewhere else, like your bank account, assuming you still use those fiat institutions. I personally just wouldn't want to use Apple for this... I find their UX to be sub-optimal and requires you to use Apple universally. A major flaw.
