Hello stackers!
I want to introduce to you Donate4.Fun - it's a service and browser extension that allows you to send lightning donations to YouTube authors that do not even have a lightning address.
It works like a virtual locker -  you lock your satoshis on Donate4.Fun, leave a comment under a YouTube video and then the channel author could come to service, confirm channel ownership and take his donation.
We are building this service for a while and it's still in beta, so we have tons of plans for what to do - more social sites to support (not only YouTube), more methods to withdraw funds, better YouTube integration etc.
We will much appreciate any feedback and suggestions on how to make it better. We want to make it possible to support content creators anywhere and loosen dependence on content and advertising providers.
Cheers!
This is an amazing idea ! Love that we can help content creators out there in more and more creative and influential ways.

Wow! Will try

I like the idea, but I would like to see this implemented in this way: https://makers.bolt.fun/story/option-to-reward-sites-on-alby--130

The bad thing on Donate4.Fun it's that the money donated stay in escrow.

It's true, so we plan to add option to rollback donations that was not withdrawn for some significant time (like several months). The other and more trueish way is to integrate owner verification inside a local wallet, but it's much more difficult than delegate to a webservice.

love this idea for onboarding new bitcoiners!

Sounds good, I'll try it.
Yesterday I just set up my Youtube channel and Twitter account with Get Alby, I'll try both for a while and decide for the better one. Cheers

Seems interesting but the automation of this service wouldn't be allowed by YouTube. And due the lack of support from YouTube, I don't think the service would ever succeed. I better suggest you to start your own video uploading blog where people upload videos and tip Satoshis with lightening implemented.

Works nice with Alby. On a privacy side what info do you collect ?

Absolute minimum: donations and withdrawals, but all user-related information is only random ids + lightning wallet public key if you connect one. We even do not ask your email.
