The first edition of the UEFA Champions League pool has come to an end. I am pleased to announce that the winner of the pool, with 124 points, is:
@Carresan
Follows, in second place, with 123 points:
@ChrisS
And finally, in third place, with 115 points, after another comeback, is:
@Undisciplined.
Following him, despite a big effort, @grayruby has finished fourth with 112 points. @TNStacker and @IAMSingle, after missing last week, have finished fifth with 104 points.
Standings
After adding the results of week 10 and the points from the picks we provided back in September, the final table stands as it follows:
Picks provided in September
Teams that qualified straight to the last 16 round from the group phase receive 3 points. Teams that qualified through knockout play-offs receive 1 point and those that did not qualify receive 0 points.
Final standings
I must admit I wasn’t expecting that everything was decided at the very last minute. Thanks to the goal that Man City scored at 92 minutes and PSV going through to the last 16 instead of Juventus, I managed to pass @ChrisS. Also, @undisciplined did a great comeback again to finish third.
Prizes
The total amount of sats received in the posts was:
6823 sats (10% deduction applies)
25125 sats (30% deduction applies)
After applying the fees, as mentioned above, the total prize is 23726 sats.
Winner receives 11863 sats, which I will roll forward to the upcoming UEFA Champions League survivor pool, to make an initial pot of 13000 sats.
Runner up, @ChrisS, will receive 7118 sats.
Third place, @undisciplined, will receive 4745 sats.
Finally, congrats to everyone who participated in the pool and, especially, to those who reached the top three. It has been a lot of fun for me and a pleasure to run it with your support, with a special mention to @grayruby and @undisciplined.
I hope you keep enjoying football and join our survivor pool commencing in March.
