Yes, briefly. Notified the puzzle author and asked if this was part of the puzzle. Left a link to this SN thread. They replied in #908967 and changed the password.

I still don't understand whether accessing the mail was crusial part of the solution or it was just a coincidence and nothing to do with the puzzle 🧩

No, it was not related to the puzzle.

The current situation is that we have a KeePass database file called whatisthepassphrase.kdbx (see #908590 for how to download it yourself) but don't know the passphrase to open it.

Yeah, I have it as well. I'm watching the lessons 1-2-3 again looking for the passphrase too but I thought there would be a valuable information and clues in the Proton mail from lesson 3 primer.
