The team finishing first has the advantage of playing against wild card entry. But all matches in the playoffs are knockouts so it may be that some wild card team turn it around and crush the panthers or leafs, there will be no more Panthers vs leafs then.
The teams finishing second and third in each division will meet within the bracket headed by their respective division winners.
Will meet each other right?
So, in the first round
No. 1 placed team meets the wild card team.
No. 2 and three play each other.
In the second round
The winners of round 1 will meet each other from each confrence and division.
Thanks. I've also found it here. https://www.nhl.com/info/standings-info/playoff-format
