I wouldn't let my daughter go to people's windows if I didn't know it was ok. Very good approach (regarding access to the window)
Btw....in Hungarian it exist a proverb, which says that: "The dog loves the owner, the cat loves the house." This is the reason I like dogs more than cats. :)
